Ciao Bella/Bello,
the pups have arrived 11 pups were born on 4 Sept between 0900 and 1530. Today 9 survived 5f and 4m. Color ranges from light grey, grey tiger, grey and wheaten, and formentino. Attached are some photos, I’ll post more soon. So far all are doing good.
Thanks,
I don’t agree with a lot of the clubs take on the dog and what is acceptable, plus I especially do not care for the boxer type head! If I wanted a boxer I would purchase a boxer. There are a lot of dogs here in the States that are passed of as the Course so finding one close to the original type is like looking for a needle in a haystack. It took me a few yrs to find the pair I have now that fit the type, color and temperament of the Course from ancient times and this is what I breed for, the rustic and ancient colors. In a year or so I will be looking to purchase Italian lines to keep my gene pool diverse and as true to form as what I have researched and saw when in Napoli. These are great dogs and I would own no other. My Phoebe is due to whelp in a wk or less I’ll post photos of the litter.
You are correct, my first pair as pups appeared to fit the type and look of what I saw while in Italy. But after they matured I began to notice imperfection in behavior and movement. My female was overly aggressive towards anyone that approached me or the property, my male showed issues with rear legs and hip movement. I no longer have them. The pair I have now exhibit all the traits that I saw with my first encounter of the Course and I am pleased with what I have and what they have produce with the first litter. I’m hoping for them to better this next litter. Photos of pups from first litter at 4 months
